Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is currently soliciting contractors to submit bids or Request for Qualifications (RFQs) for new home construction projects in Knoxville and Knox County. Knoxville Habitat accepts bids for new home construction on an ongoing basis.
Knoxville Habitat utilizes private and public funding – which may include New Markets Tax Credits, TN Housing Development Agency, HUD, State of TN ARPA grant, Knox County ARPA grant, CDBG and ARPA grants, the Federal Home Loan of Cincinnati, the East Tennessee Foundation and other funding sources – for some of these projects and will abide by all federal, state and local procurement guidelines set forth.
Ongoing Invitiations to Bid
The Plains Subdivision
Knoxville Habitat for Humanity extends this invitation to bid on certain items and services for our new subdivision The Plains located in Knox County.
Knoxville Habitat for Humanity will receive sealed bids for cons1ruction of the The Plains Subdivision 0 Tribute Ln until 2:00 PM EST on September 3rd, 2025. Bids must be delivered to Knoxville Habitat for Humanity at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Each Bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to Knoxville Habitat for Humanity at 1501 Washington Ave, Knoxville, 37917. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the Owner.
Additional submission guidelines can be found in the Instructions to Bidders within the Project Manual. The Plains is partially funded by Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending FY2024.

New Home Construction
Knoxville Habitat for Humanity extends this invitation to bid on certain items and services for our new home construction program in Knox County.
All bids must include the following completed documents as well as a demonstrated commitment to applicable labor laws and requirements established by the Department of Labor.
To be considered, you must complete the following steps.

- Sign the Knoxville Habitat for Humanity Comprehensive Subcontractor Agreement
- Submit the Subcontractor Agreement along with a copy of your bid, General Liability Insurance, and Workers’ Comp. Insurance

Critical Home Repair
Knoxville Habitat for Humanity extends this invitation to bid on certain items or services. Knoxville Habitat will utilize both private and public funding, and will abide by all federal state and local procurement guidelines set forth. Knoxville Habitat accepts bids on an ongoing basis.
Applicable city, state, and federal regulations such as but not limited to Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109, and E.O. 11246 are required.
