Faith in Action
Together, We Can Build Up Our Community and Put Faith Into Action.
Are you ready to make a tangible difference in Knoxville? There are many ways your congregation can get involved on construction sites and in our ReStore to ensure all our neighbors have a safe place to call home.
New Construction
Are you readey to don a hardhat and swing a hammer?
Give back to our community in a meaningful way while learning new skills — no construction experience or gear required!
Participants work in collaborative groups led by an experienced construction leader to complete building tasks and accomplish something meaningful — sometimes alongside a future Habitat homeowner.
FAQs
How many people can I bring?
A typical build day includes up to 15-20 volunteers. Options for larger groups are available with additional planning and resources. Please contact us using the form at the bottom of this page and a Habitat staff member will reach out to help you customize a build day to meet your goals.
Is there a cost associated with a build day?
We suggest a donation of $5,000 for an exclusive New Construction build day for your group. This donation goes towards the cost of the build materials and provides affordable homeownership opportunities for our Knoxville neighbors. Yes. The minimum age to volunteer on a construction site is 16 years old. Volunteers under the age of 18 are restricted from using ladders or power tools.

Help provide affordable goods to the community.
